Community Helpers By Kid Mechanix, Inc. - Apple iTunes Store- On this app, students have the option of three interactive games identifying images of community helpers, the tools of community helpers, and where they work. The app costs $0.99.
Community Helpers By Paper Boat Apps - Samsung Playstore- With this app students will learn about twelve different community helps. The students will learn in detail about what each community helper does by actually participating in a game stimulation as if the student was actually that community helper. For example, the student would maneuver a fire truck and crane to help put out the fire as a firefighter.
Community Helpers - Tinytapps- Samsung Playstore and Apple iTunes Store - There are forty community helpers and five activities in this app. The students will learn about the work each helper does, the place they work at, the tools/ transportation they use, and about their uniform. This app requires users to help the community helpers complete their unique jobs ranging from an auto mechanic to a fireman. There are also places for students to explore the necessary tools for many community helpers and learn what the items are and how they are used. The five activities this app contains are: Guess Who? It’s also a great tool for children to practice their fine motor skills as they touch the screen and swap clothing. This app allows students to see the different clothing community helpers need and opens discussion as to why certain community helpers need specific clothing.
